The end is that there is air in the pump body or air in the water inlet pipe, and the gate valve or the slap door is not tightly closed.

The sand suction pump is a relatively precise vacuum acquisition device. In practical use, we need to accurately maintain it to improve its performance and lifespan.
1. Regularly check the oil quality. If the sand suction pump shows signs of deterioration, replace the vacuum oil in a timely manner to ensure the 2X-4 rotary vane vacuum pump operates normally.
2. If conditions permit, clean the pipeline to ensure it is unobstructed. Check for looseness and air leaks at the connections of the rotary vane vacuum pump. Manually turn the vacuum pump to see if it turns smoothly.
3. It is strictly forbidden to draw air for long periods! It is also forbidden to operate with insufficient or no oil. A vacuum valve should be installed at the connection between the system being evacuated and the rotary vane vacuum pump. Before stopping, the passage should be closed to prevent vacuum backflow into the evacuated system! Ensure that the evacuated system does not contain corrosive gases.
4. The interval for changing vacuum oil should be considered based on actual usage conditions and whether it meets performance requirements, as decided by the user. Generally, for the 2X series rotary vane vacuum pumps, it is recommended to change the oil approximately every 100 hours of operation when extracting clean, dry gases. Once no black metallic powder is visible in the oil, the interval for changing vacuum oil can be appropriately extended.
5. Under normal circumstances, the rotary vane vacuum pump should be serviced after 2000 hours of operation. Check the aging level of rubber seals, inspect whether the exhaust valve plates are cracked, and clean any deposits on the valve plates and exhaust valve seats. Clean all parts inside the vacuum pump chamber, such as the rotor, vanes, and springs. Generally, use gasoline for cleaning and dry them afterward. For rubber components, simply wipe them dry with a clean cloth after washing. Be gentle when cleaning and assembling to avoid damage.
6. It is strictly forbidden to use other types of oil. Professional vacuum oil must be used. Regularly check the oil level; if it does not meet the requirements, it must be adjusted to comply. When the vacuum pump is running, the oil level should be at the midpoint of the oil sight glass.
7. After reassembly, a trial run should be conducted, usually without load, running idle for 2 hours and changing the oil twice. During the cleaning process, a certain amount of volatile substances may remain in the rotary vane vacuum pump housing. After these substances have evaporated, the pump can be put back into normal operation.
